Ukrainian FOOD Industry Showcased Its Potential in Finland and the Baltic States

Trade Mission to Finland and Baltic countries within the REBIRTH UKRAINE EXPORT–IMPORT Platform

From 6 to 14 May 2026, the  REBIRTH UKRAINE EXPORT–IMPORT trade mission for the food industry took place across Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The Ukrainian business delegation presented the capabilities of Ukrainian food producers, held business meetings, and established new international contacts.

The main objective of the trade mission was to support the development of Ukrainian food exports and create new opportunities for cooperation with international partners. The mission focused on ready-to-consume food products as well as ingredients for the food industry and HoReCa sector.

Finland: Business Forum and B2B Meetings

The first destination was Finland, where the Ukrainian-Finnish Business Forum on Ukraine’s Economic Recovery was held in Helsinki on 7 May.

As part of the Ukraine-Finland Trade Connect Zone, Ukrainian companies presented their products, participated in a tasting session, and held B2B meetings with potential partners. The programme also included networking and discussions on cooperation and project financing opportunities.

The following day, the delegation visited Finnish partners and leading companies in the country.

Estonia: New Contacts and Cooperation Opportunities

In Estonia, the Ukrainian delegation met with representatives of the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, government institutions, and ESTDEV. The meetings focused on Estonia’s economy, trade, potential areas of cooperation, and further development of Ukrainian-Estonian business relations.

The delegation also visited the e-Estonia Briefing Centre and met with representatives of the City of Pärnu and the Estonian Chamber of Industry.

Latvia: Dialogue with Business and Institutions

In Riga, the delegation held meetings with representatives of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Latvia, Ukraine House, and Latvian business leaders.

The programme included meetings with representatives of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA), Latvian Association of Local Governments, Latvenergo Group, Latvian Association of Renewable Energy, LCCI Trade & Export Department / Latvian Exporters Association, and Freeport of Riga Authority.

The delegation also visited Nordic Plast Ltd and Getliņi EKO to learn more about the companies and their activities.

Lithuania: Strengthening Ukrainian-Lithuanian Business Cooperation

The final destination of the mission was Vilnius. The delegation visited the Vilnius Cogeneration Power Plant and held a meeting with Gijos.

A dedicated business event was organised together with the Innovation Agency Lithuania and the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists (LPK). Representatives of Lithuanian government and business institutions participated, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Central Project Management Agency, Environmental Project Management Agency, Construction Sector Development Agency, and Invest Lithuania.

New Opportunities for Ukrainian Exports

The trade mission provided a platform for Ukrainian companies to showcase their products, exchange experience, and establish direct contacts with potential buyers, distributors, retailers, and industry organisations.

Key opportunities for participating companies included B2B matchmaking, individual product presentations, tasting sessions, networking, and presentations of Ukrainian products to potential international partners.

REBIRTH OF UKRAINE EXPORT–IMPORT brought together Ukrainian businesses and international partners and contributed to strengthening business connections and exploring opportunities for Ukrainian food products in the markets of Northern Europe and the Baltic States.
